Reiki is a spiritual practice that deals with sending healing energy to yourself and to others using the universal energy that exists. It is something sacred and real. It does so much for the person receiving it but they must be open and receptive to it or it won’t work. It’s not something “physical” it is an unseen energy force but it is definitely felt by the recipient if they allow it. We either invite or block energy all the time from others. In this way you know its real and actually works if you take the time to think it through fully.
The Five Principles Of Reiki are:
- I will not anger.
- I will not worry.
- I will be grateful for all my blessings.
- I will work with honesty and integrity.
- I will be kind to all living things.
While this is easier said than done doesn’t mean we shouldn’t work at it each day. It may be days or weeks where we fail on all five or maybe we do very well but it’s about trying to live by these five principles daily that makes the difference. Practice always makes things easier and we get better the more we do it. If we aren’t at least trying to do these things daily we make our lives harder. This is where trauma and pain come from. When we hurt others we just end up hurting ourselves. The universe works on a balancing scale in all things. We will bring to us what we put out. So, we always must try to put the best out into the world so that we can receive our blessings and not cause our own suffering. It’s tempting to retaliate when we are hurt by others but it will end up hurting us more when it comes back to us later on. I can attest to this. As none of us are perfect but only human. Being human is a constant state of change, thoughts and emotions. When we take the universes checks and balances and try to control it, it eventually messes with us. If we do wrong or hurtful things it always finds it way back one way or another. Reiki can help anyone who is experiencing pain in its many forms. It’s truly a gift from the universe to heal ourselves and others. As the universe has been here a lot longer than any of us and we should be thankful to receive it for that reason. It’s truly an art. It’s something I look forward to each day and I am thankful I found it when I did because I was lost and I didn’t know where else to turn. Sometimes I think it found me. I am grateful it did too.
Love and light to you.
